The summers actually look pretty nice (albeit a little too dry), but the winters are just awful. I mean I could enjoy a winter like that if it only lasted a couple months and was followed by a nice long summer. But five months of those temperatures (not to mention the almost complete lack of sunshine) with such a short warm season is just too much, even worse than our winters out here (which I'm already not a huge fan of). I think I have to give this one an F for the winters.

Russia is very strict about travel freedom, especially if you are not Russian.

There are actually tours that will take you there during the winter. I voted a C only due to the extreme cold.

E-

At least it has a comfortable season. It's not Vostok Station or Mecca where the weather is perpetually cold or hot, respectively. So an F is not really fair. Those who voted F surely must be aware that it isn't a perpetual polar climate...

It's annoying that a place with such frigid winters can have such warm summers. It would be an A- if it had cooler summers (even I have to admit that the winters are a bit on the chilly side).

E. Summer is very nice and there are 7 good months and 1 tolerable one. Also, it is nice and dry with decent sunshine, especially in summer.

There's a german guy that made a video about his visit to Yakutsk and Oymyakon.

I prefer Yakutsk to Norilsk by quite a lot, atleast they have a summer.

E. I like only the summer. Winters are way to cold and extreme even for me a cold lover.
