Sunshine is intended to be pretty average, around 2200 hours, concentrated in the Spring and Summer months, with lesser amounts of sunshine in Winter (similar to the Great Lakes).

The winter would be terrific for ice-sculpting, but I generally agree with that assessment.

both summers and winters look lethal IMO.
April, May, September, and October look pleasant and I'd like to watch the seasons change but leave before it hits the danger zone to be outside for significant amounts of times.
