You mean dry summer?

Anyway, F from me hard to expect anything else given that you rated it A though?

F

A horrible climate although the short summer would be a nice (albeit cold), dry reprieve from the other season, winter.

This would get an F- if the summers were wet and cloudy.

Love snow, but this is way too much. Summers are a little cooler than ideal, but pleasant nonetheless.

F. Too cold for too long without even decent summers to make up for it.

E-

The city would be a logistical hell, how can you be rid with that amount of snow which never melts? The summers are awful, the winters way too long and cold. The growing and frost-free season is really short, sunshine hours horrible...

Not the worst possible, but pretty close.

^^^ Indeed, I would like to see how their snow dumps look like by late March. Anyway, I agree with pretty much everything you said, and give it an E as well. I like winter and snow but it's really too much of a good thing. Plus, a -23°C record low with such cold winters? Even oceanic climates can beat that.

This is my dream climate. Would you give it an F? Wimp!
As for myself, I don't know about surviving (though I have survived as high as 109F for brief periods), but I can't thrive or do anything in any temperature above 80F. I get heat exhaustion and heat stroke quite easily. Conversely, I not only cope with cold and snow, but I revel in it, so all things considered I probably have you beat in winter . Anyway, this isn't a contest to see how macho we are, so I suggest we leave it at that.

As for your dream climate, I for one would give it an F.

It would be a logistical nightmare, but realistically you could not manage it like a conventional city with snow clearing. The snow would have to be allowed to pile up and transportation would proceed on top of it. Antarctic bases function just fine on top of ice caps, and from what I've read some resort towns such as West Yellowstone have unplowed roads where the main traffic is composed of snowmobiles.

As for the -23C record low; yes, it is really wimpy, but it's supposed to have really stable temperatures and crushing snow, so...

There is too much snow for my liking, and not enough summer precipitation. My ideal climate would have the precipitation pattern reversed. I could live with a wet-summer and dry winter version of this climate. I'm giving this one a C.
