Well, i've said that because we are predicted a high of 2c on boxing day with sleet, so i'm expecting a few flakes if that happens.

Remember only a few days ago it was supposed to snow on christmas night.

A couple of cm is not good enough for me, if I get 6 inches in one storm i'll be happy.

Denver has a 70% chance for snow on Christmas Eve and into Christmas Day. Total accumulation will be about 3-4 inches. This is in addition to the 3-4 inches we received last Wednesday.

The Colorado mountains, which received up to 20 inches of snow last week, will likely get nothing from this storm.

Just rain all day, but temperatures are expected to plunge, so some time in the 6 PM - 9 PM time frame, it supposed to change over to snow. It is still uncertain, so amounts are still unknown. But either way, there won't be any snow at 7 am.

I'm on Long Island for Christmas. Forecast: Light rain over Christmas Eve. Overnight low 34°F. Daytime high of 45°F, drizzle in the morning gradually clearing to partly sunny skies. More common than a white christmas.

Up in Massachusetts there's a chance if it sticks:

Snow and freezing rain likely before noon, then a slight chance of rain between noon and 2pm. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 35. North wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Freezing rain for Christmas?

Don't forget Alaska. Just about all of Alaska outside of the Panhandle is going to have a White Christmas, as well as the Rockies and northern New England, and let's not forget most of Canada (you know, that huge landmass north of the major cities ). All of Siberia will see a White Christmas as well.
