Wow that's cold! You certainly wouldn't see temperatures like that on Spain's east coast this time of year. Impressive!

It's currently 30°F in Fairbanks, Alaska with clear skies and full sunshine. The normal high for this time of the year is 60F.

NWS Alaska.

PRUDHOE BAY AND AREA COULD EASILY ACCUMULATE 10 INCHES OF SNOW BEFORE IT DIMINISHES TUE MORNING. THE EASTERN BEAUFORT SEA COAST WILL LIKELY HAVE LESS THAN 3 INCHES. THE BROOKS RANGE WILL GET 6 TO 12 INCHES WITH HEAVIEST AMOUNTS FROM HOWARD PASS EAST AND FROM THE DALTON HIGHWAY WEST.

THE AIR BEHIND THE FRONT IS COLD FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR AND A FEW RECORD LOWS AND RECORD LOW MAXS MAY BE RECORDED TODAY FOR THE CENTRAL TO WEST INTERIOR. BETTLES SET A RECORD LOW FOR THE DATE YESTERDAY SHORTLY BEFORE MIDNIGHT. FAIRBANKS MAY END UP WITH TWO RECORD TEMPERATURES TODAY...ONE FOR THE LOW AND ANOTHER FOR THE RECORD LOW-MAX TEMPERATURE.

Freeze Warning for tonight...forecast low is 31 F/-0.5 C. This morning was 34 F/1 C...felt pretty chilly with the wind. Today's high was only 55 F/13 C. Right now it's 47 F/8 C at 8:10PM.

Pleasantly cool and refreshing.

Hot, hotter, really hot was the temps today in Saskatchewan (wouldn't be surprised if one city/town/village here broke a record today).

Crops are now being planted here .... those boys will be working til the sun disappears with rain in our forecast.

Low 40's tonight, this sucks. But at least the warmth returns in a few days.

I wonder if anyone appreciates spring the way New Englanders do. With winters like we get spring is like being born again, life takes on new meaning. Im sure you can relate, being from Connecticut. Very happy though, spring/summers are beautiful in VT, and given we had ocean access it would rival anyplace in the summertime.
