What do you think of Newport's climate? It has very rainy winters with 10" each month from November to January, a very brief dry season in July and August, winter temps averaging 3-10C and summer temps averaging 10-18C. In other words relatively little seasonal variation and chilly and wet pretty much year round.

Overall it's quite a bit like the north of England, but much wetter most of the year and with a somewhat drier summer.

Even though I like rainy climates, personally I find the Oregon Coast to be a little bit too much. The summer is excellent though, I've never been a fan of hot summers anyways and there's just enough rain.

Way too much rain for me, but the temperatures are pretty nice. Ideally I'd like the averages to skew 5-10f higher, but not bad.

Too much rain in winter and not warm enough in summer. I'm also guessing that despite all that rain, thundrestorms are just as rare (if not rarer) than they are here in California....If I'm gonna get more rain, I wanna see that thunder!

Nice climate, but a bit boring and mild. Though I prefer cold and snowy winters, rainy winters would be my second choice and Newport has plenty of it that time of the year. Summers a tad cooler than ideal, but I'll take 65 F over what I contend with now.
