The people there actually enjoyed the rare July rain to break the monotony. I learned about it because my cousin (who lives in Burbank) made a posting on facebook "Rain in July! Love it!" and then a picture of herself standing outside on the wet driveway with a goofy smile on her face . That's how rare it is. So, of course, I remembered my thread and went back and reposted on it. (Here in the Bay Area, we just got some high clouds but no rain).
If you brought it with you, don't apologize as the ppl there are thanking you. California has been in a drought this year as the winter and spring have been much drier than normal...Anyway, any kind of summer rain is so rare in California, that it is considered a treat, not an annoyance.
