Hello all, I was wondering for those of you who have traveled the US which region do you prefer? For weather and it's impact on the surroundings do you prefer the Cloudy, mild, and wet Pacific North West? Or the dry and high Colorado Front Range? Any reason to pick on over the other? I'm trying to get a feel for the appeal of each area. Thanks!
Hard choice. PNW is nice in summer, but too cludy, wet and mild in winter. Front Range is alright in winter, but uncomfortable in summer (but manageable with A/C) and though it is not consistent, there is great potential for snow and cold. I'll go for Front Range. I'd much rather have a Rocky Mountain climate like Climax, Colorado. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climax,_Colorado#Climate
I'd actually choose PNW, because the Winters of the Front Range aren't cold enough to compensate quite hot summers. And although I love winters, year-round wet and cool/mild climates please me quite well. And if i missed winter, there'd still be the possibility to drive up into the mountains.
Climate wise, front range would offer more variety and excitement so I voted for it.
