Which tropical place do you prefer for weather, beaches and scenery? My vote is to Hawaii, but it was very close. I've been to both places.

To differentiate, here are some differences:
Hawaii
-Not as humid/monsoonal as the Caribbean (less pesky no-see'ums)
-Summers aren't as hot as Caribbean; winters in Hawaii are often equal to, or warmer than, Caribbean locales
-Sea temperature ranges from 77F in winter-82F in summer (average annual sea temp is 74F)
-Rainy season is winter-spring, drier season in summer-fall
-More waves and deeper ocean in Hawaii
-More diverse landscape and terrain in Hawaii

Caribbean
-More moist, humid and monsoonal than Hawaii
-Sea temperature differentiates; Bahamas sea temperatures are cooler than Hawaii in winter, warmer in summer. Much of the Caribbean has warmer water temps by a few degrees due to shallower, calmer seas (annual average sea temp of the Caribbean is 75F)

-Flatter landscape and not as diverse terrain
-Wet season is from summer-fall, drier season from winter-spring.
-Summers are hotter and more humid in the Caribbean, more gnats/mosquitoes

I've only been to Hawaii once (stayed for a week) and had sunny, slightly humid weather the whole time- no rain at all. I'd like to visit the Caribbean sometime just for those awesome thunderstorms so I voted for it.

Yes. I was in Turks and Caicos once. Upon arrival, a big monsoonal downpour occurred. And get this: the clouds were TEAL! Beautiful place, but I picked Hawaii because it has less no-see'ums and waves in their beaches.

Caribbean, obviously...

The Caribbean's terrain is why more diverse than Hawaii by far its has some high peaks. Most Islands are volcanic and very hilly.

Hawaii has more diverse terrain. Tropical jungles, snow-capped mountains, volcanoes. Dry semi-desert areas as well, plus, flatter marshier areas too. The Caribbean's mountains don't come close in height to Hawaii's.

Your just very biased you always go for the US or Hawaii.

The West Indian Islands are very diverse. The lesser Antilles (includes Grenada, St Vincent, Dominica etc) and the Greater Antilles ( Cuba, Jamaica etc) have a mountain chain running through them which are covered in lush Rainforests with loads of animals unique. You also have the dry forests of Trinidad and Cuba.
The climate is much more interesting Hurricanes tropical downpours and a real undebatebale tropical climate.

The pitons of St Lucia is a national tressure...

Caroni swamp on the island of Trinidad...
