I had some nice rain last night and this morning, with 23.4mm to 9am this morning. Now it is pouring down again. Very happy about this because yesterday I was thinking that rainfall wouldn't exceed 10mm this month.
Has certainly been very mild this month with only two maximums below 20C so far, and not one minimum below 2C. There should be some cooler weather coming up after this rain with frost possible, but this July should still end up substantially above average for temperatures.

I especially like the 0 C / 7 C for Sunday. This is usually the coldest we get.
Three consecutive days with maxs below 10ºC is impressive for BA standars. Resarching data of the last decades i found that the longest streak with consecutives maxs below 10ºC was in 2000, when we had, from july 9th to 13th, five days under 10. Here I post the details.
In Buenos Aires city no, maybe graupel or soft hail. But in the inner of the province (of Buenos Aires) the chance of snow is pretty good this weekend.

The coldwaves in BA are quite impressive for only 34S, South America's geography definitely helps in terms of more continental type winters. Maxima below 13C are exceedingly rare here might happen once every 3-5 years.
I think that if South America was a little further south that it would have winters like us. I think that Australia would not as it does not seem to have cold winters at all.
Well, the forecast for southern Brazil is quite insane when it comes to snowfall and cold weather in general...some hilly inland places are expected to receive 1 inch or so...it's likely to snow just 400km away from São Paulo.
I have never seen such crazy forecast like that before.
That high of only 9ºC, it would be in the history books because it has never happened here before...
