With an all-time record low of 11.5 C/53 F, I consider Muscat tropical.
I would normally rank any tropical climate A-something
however the average annual high is 33 C/93 F combined with an average humidity of 57%;
40 C/104 F annual average heat index?
I would probably grow to find this climate slightly-taxing on even my energy levels because of the humidity.
In this climate, less than half the year would be optimum for me, but certainly not hellish.
Merely frequently inconvenient.
Same exact climate but with 20% less humidity I probably would rank an A.
I find Muscat's seasonal lead quite interesting. I mean, one sees this at this latitude when there's a monsoon - as there is down in Salalah - but there isn't one here. So what's cooling Muscat down?
