The German place. The cold winters are a small sacrifice for a warmer summer with more thunderstorms.

Karlsruhe, no contest.

40 years ago I was an Army guy stationed in Germany, and I passed through Karlsruhe many times on the way from Mannheim to Freiburg or Stuttgart. Karlsruhe is in the Rhine River valley, and not far from Strasbourg, France. Spring, Summer and Fall have long stretches of mild, pleasant temps that are good for outdoor activities. A great place to sit on the terrace of a local Brauhaus and sip a tall mug of beer.

Hard one.

I like good sunshine and mild winters. Karlsruhe is a bit warm in the summer and cold in winter, though its summer sunshine hours are good. London is pleasant in the summer but it seems drizzlier and gloomy even in summer.

I'm on the fence here, but more leaning towards Karlsruhe because of slightly more sunshine.

Yeah no change here, still Karlsruhe. The winter isn't actually that bad, so I'm still giving it for the warmer, sunnier summer.

Karlsruhe of course! Colder winters that means more snow than London. Sunnier and warmer summers and of course more precipitation and thunderstorms!
