In previous poll "the warmest city in UK vs warmest in Germany" the German city won with around 2/3 votes.
Lets see if it can win with the warmest city in Canada.
I'll trade cooler summers for warmer winters ( and do - I live in Van after all, but could easily live elsewhere in Canada ), and certainly Karlsruhe is an upgrade compared to both Osoyoos and Van, so Kalsruhe.
Karlsruhe I think it gets more thunderstorms and is more humid in summer and has milder winters.
All of what you say is probably true but...
I prefer Osoyoos climate.
It has longer sunnier summers, less humidity (which is a big plus). Warms up quickly in spring too.
I went out of my way to check out Osoyoos and was glad I did.
Beautiful location with mountains and lake (good swimming in the warmest lake in Canada).
I could live there easily, some day I just might
As a side note, technically Osoyoos does not have the warmest climate in Canada,
warmest summer maybe but a few other locations in coastal BC
have slightly warmer average annual temps, including Vancouver (downtown/harbour) 11c+
also Powell River and another weather station near Chilliwack at US border near Sumas,WA
Osoyoos has higher temps during the summer, and lower temps during the winter which is what I prefer.
My sentiments exactly.
