A, some of these equatorial highland climates are a mild to warm climate lovers dream.
Elevation is higher than any point on the Australian mainland, so it is not surprising.
Strangely seasonal temps for a place so close to the equator, certainly not the perpetual summer that someone else has suggested. Even the summer itself is more spring-like in this part of the world, and most importantly - the nights stay cool!
C+. Definetely one of the best climates for humans - not either too hot or too cold. But it's too boring for me, I don't like snowless winters and dry season is too dry, while wet seasons is too wet. I prefer more even precipitation distribution.
At 9 degrees N, there are two solar maximums, in April and August. From May to July, the sun is higher in the sky at the Tropic of Cancer than near the equator. You do see a corresponding warm period in April/May, and another subtle warm period in September that is depressed by the concurrent wet season.
So, April/May = major summer
September = minor summer
Dec/Jan = major winter
Jun/Jul = minor winter
The extremely wet winter months kinda put down the rating to C+ sadly. The climate is perfect most of the year except for these two very rainy months.
