My neighborhood is still 100 % covered in ice . Our township has the money, then why aren't the roads plowed properly.

I'd like to ask my township that, too. Lazy asses don't want to go out and plow ALL the snow off their streets, just leave a quarter inch layer on every street

We had more daily highs this month in the 40s than the 30s. More in the 10s than the 30s as well. Weird month, the mean is meaningless this month. Only one less day with highs in the 50s than 30s!

Seeing some pics from down south of ice and snow. Up to 2" of snow reported in Centerville, TX (between Houston and Dallas). 1/4" of ice near Seguin, TX

This is San Antonio Texas where they abandoned their vehicles due to ice.

Contrary to the forecasts that this would be a mostly ice/wintry mix event, it looks like we're dealing with a classic Gulf Coast snowstorm. The temperatures drop one day, followed by heavy moisture which wetbulbs them down into the 20's overnight and lays down a heavy blanket of snow, with mixing seen down to the coast. The snow does look a bit convective, but notwithstanding those icons I haven't been able to find a report of thundersnow as yet. Radar estimates and ground reports indicate that there is a wide swath of accumulating snow from central Texas all the way into Mississippi, with Alabama probably receiving flakes right now. Temperatures in the fringes of Florida are ripe for flakes if the moisture in Alabama moves in, which it very well might.

We've seen these Gulf Coast snowstorms before, but this one seems to be unusually large in extent compared to most that have been recorded. With the heavier snowfall rates it's likely that someone will be getting a pretty big snow out of this, but I think the extent of accumulations is what will vault it into the ranks of the 10 or 20 most significant Gulf Coast snowstorms.
