I like green trees from early June until mid August, the rest of the year should be either with fall colors, bare or blooming if it were up to me . I love seeing trees in deep green in July, but I also love seeing bare trees in Winter.
I hate fall. My least favorite part of the year because everything decreases. Temps get cooler, days shorter and cloudier, etc. Additionally, Nice is a summer city and is extremely lively and crowded in summer, but all that party atmosphere starts fading away by late September.
The very worst time of the year to me is about to begin - from the reversion of DST to winter solstice.
The second half of November gets my vote for the very ****tiest time in the whole year
I like January and February much better, even if it is colder, days get slightly brighter and longer every day so every day is better than the previous one, and that positive effect is a huge mood booster.
Really, you want those big crowds throughout the year? I love to have a little elbow room. I am 53 now. In my 20's I might view it like you. Fall is a great time of year! You have fall colors on the trees, Halloween and then Thanksgiving. You have corn mazes, haunted houses, apple cider. Coffee tastes better in fall and so does soup.
The worst part is the late fall in early December with all the panic of buying gifts for family, etc. I would never sit in those "black Friday" lines at stores the day after Thanksgiving. Fall is what you make it.
I also love the football season (especially college) which happens in the fall and also the World Series which started tonight! In general, fall is simply great!
Probably the best part of fall is that a lot of the bugs (mosquitos, flies, spiders, etc) disappear! That is especially true in the East, South and Midwest, but happens everywhere to some extent!
I love fall. In my opinion, February is one of the worst months. March often will finally begin to have some warm spells. In the fall, there is so much else to distract me from the weather if it gets cold. There's football, changing leaves, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. Too much going on to worry about the weather. There's also something about the first time you think "Wow, it's been dark for a while, it must be about time for bed" only to realize it's barely 8pm. Even January at least has the football playoffs. But by February, it's still cold and snowy like it has been for the past three months and it's just like "Is it ever going to end??"
Fall is my favorite season, especially October through December. The days are cool and crisp, there's the beautiful colors, the crunch of leaves on the ground, the smell of leaves, shorter days, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas...such a wonderful time of the year.
No more bugs too.
