Nice to be able to walk in the woods w/o snow shoes this morning......only because of a firm crust on the snow. Came back after a short walk when I fell thru the third time. Up to 42deg now.

Considering it's mid-April, that proves North GA is a "sub-artic wasteland" just like here.

I was teasing about a single day in April being miserably-cold, (my ears sting at low 40's F and 10 mph sustained, after 10 min.)
but since you mention it happening last year, perhaps that's what North GA's climate will become in the future.

*Fine by me, as long as the SC coastal climate still gets the majority of their year at 70+ F.

Yesterday was so perfect and today never even got into the 70's at the beach. Tomorrow is supposed to be well below average.

you will find the climate here extremely weird, we can get sleet/snow in april, but it VERY RARELY happens in December yet snow can be quite common here from mid-january-mid-april, for some reason it never snows here in either October, Novermber, or December. Am i confusing you?

Funny, but no, much of the lower 48 has a much more "continental" climate than Toronto.
*Interesting fact that you mention snow is more common January onwards though.

For example, we have not seen a single high above 62 F or below 22 F in the past month. Our lows have also only ranged from 15 F to 45 F in the last 5 weeks. We haven't had more than 2-3 days with highs higher than 56 F and 1-2 days with lows under 26 F. Most of the time it's been 38-48 F. Probably a lot more stable than where you're living... Lake Ontario and to a lesser extent, Lake Erie and Lake Huron help keep the warm blasts of air from surging our temperatures upwards since they are still cold from winter. Lake Ontario is also pretty deep; over 600 feet even though Toronto is about 300 feet above sea level.

Even Windsor which is near Lake Erie has a noticeably more continental climate than Toronto. Its warmest day this year was at least 75 F and they've had several days at 65+ F, yet on Easter they were just about as cold as us, hovering around-to-under freezing.

wow, in the past month we've had a low of 20F on March 25 and a high of 87 on April 12, probably because we are far away from any body of water, which is weird because technically our climate is "humid subtropical" and yours is "humid continental", i guess over the course of the year you get a wider range of temperatures than us?
