In Northeastern Calif its 17 degrees right now (12:24 am) and today it reached a warm 36 degrees. The temps might warm up a few degrees by the weekend, but you can never trust the weather forecasts around here.
0 here in northern NH - warmed up from -5 .... expecting some snow tonight and possibly major snow from a Nor'Easter depending on its track Saturday night/Sunday....
Right now we are at 1. Temp has just hovered right around -2 - +1 for most of the morning. Wind chill is -9 right now. The high today they are calling for is 11.
Synopsis, I've watched some CBS 11 broadcasts online recently. I find it funny how the slight chance of flurries this weekend is getting so much attention there. Does a chance of flurries ever become just normal? Or is this everytime? I mean it's flurries for crying out loud and they're telling you they're going to monitor the situation.

Yes, flurries do receive a lot of attention here in DFW. As little as it snows here they make a HUGE deal of it. Just watch if and when those flurries happen, the evening news will have reporters "ON LOCATION" reporting on the terrible weather and make it out to be Katrina proportions...
Am I the only person who stops watching weather reports after October? I mean, what really is the point, especially here in the midwest? It's always the same. "It's going to be cold, the skies are going to be slate gray and there's a chance of ice, snow, rain, hail or clear skies. With clouds. We think. Maybe."
Kind of like the weather forecasts for here in the summer (DFW). "Hot, dry conditions will prevail for the remainder of the month, with little to no chance for precipitation and ozone alerts for the foreseeable future."
