It is sunnier here in the winter, thats shown by average sunshine %. Seattle might have a few sunny days here and there, but not on the level we do. Its colder here in winter, but sunnier.

We have a blizzard warning!
Statement as of 3:23 PM AST on January 14, 2008
... Blizzard Warning now in effect from 9 PM this evening to 3 PM
AST Tuesday...
The Blizzard Warning is now in effect from 9 PM this evening to
3 PM AST Tuesday.
A strong weather front will cross the Kuskokwim Delta tonight
through Tuesday morning. Winds of 25 to 40 mph with gusts of 50
to 65 mph will combine with snowfall to reduce visibilities below
one quarter mile from late this evening through Tuesday afternoon.
The strongest winds will be west of Bethel. Winds and snow will
diminish by mid-afternoon Tuesday as the weather front moves north
of the area.
A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to white-out
conditions... making travel extremely dangerous. All travel and
outdoor activity is strongly discouraged.
Location: Lots of sun and palm trees with occasional hurricane :)
