Mate we have similar variations in our weather here in Melbourne...especially in the summer.
One day we could have a top temp of around 100 degrees then the next days top temp will be in the mid 60's.
Hasn't really happened this summer but has happened regulary in the past.

^^ like last week, it was 115 then the next day it crapped down to an overcast dreary 70.

The weather of late has been nice except for the smoke haze. All we need now is some evening thunderstorms with extreme lightning.

Absolutely awful to see return of sunny and humid weather after 10 very nice days of rain/showers and cloud/cool temps. Max of 28 after low of 18. Currently 26oC YUK!

^^ Looking at Sydney's data, you guys got about 9 days of virtually solid overcast. If I was there, I'd be holding a house party for the sun upon its joyous return

max temp 30ºC / 86F here with smoke haze.
