Yep, I think that is a good compromise. I want a climate that encourages me to go outside all year.

Winters in Vladivostok are very cold, it surely doesn't encourage to do outside. I cannot seem to find any climate with cloudier summers than winters, but with mild winters.

Towns like Timaru in South Canterbury have a significantly higher % of possible sunshine in winter than in summer, at least according the old manual records (new electronic measurement is starting now). Winters are cool by NZ standards but not when compared with much of the US.

I was not talking about the percentage, I was talking about sunshine hours. Vladivostok is impressive

Impressive - and very unpleasant. The Tmean is low for the latitude, "summer" drab and awful.

Climates where temperature is 25*C in both summer and winter. They are terrible!!!!!!!!! to me.


It gets a very, very, very big F from me. Not a small F.
