I will start this since you in New England are busy. Another classic southern Plains storm will form Saturday. It will then track through the Midwest and on to New England by the end of the weekend. It looks like heavy snow could fall from Indianapolis through Cincinnati, on up to New England. Behind this storm, will be that blast of severe cold. Thoughts?
Haven't looked into this one in detail yet but it's to bring rain in this area here and snow again to areas already seeing it today and tomorrow..
Also Once again bump temps up from the pattern we're in. Storm track I believe goes up the coastal plain.
So 1 week of temps below 30 but because of this storm I might pop to 40 for few hours.
Any post any maps for this particular storm? Whats HPC saying? Any discussion from NWS?
View from my apartment at curren overlooking glorious downtown Providence. Snow is quite heavy and the shops are closing early. This street was plowed and salted less than an hour ago.
It is amazing, but it does look like a rain event for most of New England. Parts of Indiana and Ohio could top 8 inches of snow starting late Saturday. Extreme cold is right behind this storm.
Winter Storm Watch up for a good part of the Midwest. Still good chance for snow in the 6-12 range for parts of Indiana and Ohio. I still think the severe cold moving in by the end of the weekend will be the big story.
