Which climate is better? Both have tropical climates, although Miami is more prone to extreme cold snaps during winter, whereas Cabo, since it's in the tropics, only gets cool nights, not really extreme cold. Miami is more humid, whereas Cabo has a dry heat. Also, which has the better beaches?

That is a bit of an exaggeration. The record low in Miami Beach is 32F. The record low in Cabo is 33.8F (not sure how accurate from Wiki).
I would say cold snaps, but certainly not as extreme as Brownsville, TX.
I'm betting Miami has much better water temps. I also prefer the warmer winter nights in Miami as Cabo is pretty cool at night in winter.
I didn't mean to exaggerate. I mean that Miami gets more extreme cold (40sF) than Cabo, which merely has 50sF. Also, I believe the record low in Cabo was taken from the mountains nearby.
As for water temperature, it's almost the same. Cabo's winter water is 70F, Miami's is 73F. Cabo's summer water is 80F, Miami's is 85F. Both have nice water temperatures. I've been to Cabo in August, and the water was very comfortable to get into, I didn't shiver at all.
Coconut Palms along with the native Mexican Fan Palm
The coconut palms were introduced. The monsoon season in summer brings just enough rain and high humidity for them to survive. The days are warm enough year-round for them to live, and they can survive the 55F winter nights.
I still like Miami Beach better, especially South Beach area.
