New Phoenix features a climate based off of Phoenix, Arizona but with warmer winters, slightly cooler summers (but with much warmer record lows), a couple of hundred less sunshine hours per year, and wetter overall. Daytime high temperatures top 110 degrees on average of 11 days per year (Phoenix averages 18 days of 110 or higher by comparison there). Overnight low temperatures drop below 50 degrees just once every couple of years. The thunderstorms in New Phoenix are very impressive when they occur, and can sometimes last for an entire day and/or night, but unfortunately only crop up on average of 8 times per year and are randomly distributed throughout the year.

Nearby mountains see snowfall in the winter, enough even to have ski resorts, and also feature cooler summer temperatures making it a nice destination on very hot days. There is also a massive lake next to town that has very popular swimming beaches all along it that are open year round. It is also a popular lake for boating, fishing, and water skiing.

Record Low High = 72
Record High Low = 93

So, what do you think of New Phoenix?

I assign an F to this climate, naturally. Year round summer, and it gets a bit too hot for most of the year. I'd love to experience some of the epic thunderstorms there however! I also wouldn't mind lounging by the lake (or on it in raft or intertube) on a hot day. I might not mind something in the nearby foothills and mountains that I described too much though, with its cooler averages year round and winter snowfall, just as long as it isn't too rainy up there!
