I thought this would be an interesting battle...
Curious to see what people choose. I think I'll give the slight edge to Tofino in spite of the fact its wetter...
Tough decision because Tofino is so damn wet. I would get sick of all that rain. Summers are the same temperature but appears to have fewer thunderstorms looking at tutiempo. You need to use the up to date Buxton averages on the metoffice too. I would actually pick Buxton over this. Too wet. Buxton is a much nicer town anyway.
Tofino for being warmer during summer (and more chances for 30c weather) and also for being warmer during winter but at the same time getting more snow than Buxton.
And i mean look at it:
It says on the link that Tofino gets snow on only 10 days in winter. Does it really get more snow than Buxton? It gets a lot of rain in winter but the avg. lows are considerably higher than here.

1350 hours according to the 1981-2010 averages on the met office. But low yes.
I think environment Canada measures all snowfall even that which does not accumulate. So the 10 days would include both snow flurries and settling snow which I think Tofino sees very rarely
That is wrong - Buxton is warmer in summer. However it is also a lot cloudier. And I would suggest Buxton has more snow than Tofino - especially because in cold snaps our daytime temperatures can stay around freezing for days, with snow never melting, and just accumulating until there is over 12".
