Lexington has 19, nowhere near that last year and probably way above in 2012. Interestingly the most consecutive 90+ days in '13 were in September.
NOAA shows Lexington to have 23 days as the average number of times hitting 90+.
In 2012 they had 42.
Most for Lexington was 68 days 90F+ in 1944.

NYC's average number of 90 degree days. I would think that LGA would have more 90 degree days than Central Park? The means and max temps are slightly higher?
That's when you notice the water gradient playing a role. More humidity but tames the temps.
Obviously the flow has more to do with temps then the water and it seems easier for a Ridge to build over you then here which would mean warmer temps there than here.
Miami Florida 30yr Average number of days 90°F+ is 87.
Most of 121 in 2009
Least was 44 in 1984
Funny to see the "least" number of days for Miami is double the amount of NYC's average.
That's Horrible just thinking about that. lol
Also depends on how far above 90 it is. For example, my city averages about 200 days a year above 90 but usually it is only 92 or 93. Days above 95 are incredibly rare. Doesn't happen every year. So it isn't that bad. Like I said earlier, it's always hot but never too hot.
This is tough question to answer because of the Fahrenheit/Celsius thing. Environment Canada used to list number of days above 90 back in the 1980s when we were on Fahrenheit, but now it's 30C(86F) and 35C(95F).
Kamloops has 32.8 days above 30C and 7.2 days above 35C. Therefore, I would estimate there to be 25 days per year at or above 32/90.
I live in NC and it gets to a million degrees here in the summer. I can't fathom how anybody decided to settle here. I could just imagine that buggy ride. I would be the one screaming bloody murder because it's too hot! It's fun since we have a pool in our subdivision. Otherwise, I would have sponteously combusted already. ;-)
