Riyadh because you can actually live there. Vostok is deadly in winter.

There are scientists who live in Vostok year-round, you know...

Wish I could choose neither. I guess Riyadh. At least "winters" there don't look so bad.

Riyadh at least has some comfortable months (December and January) and the record low is -2 °C. So cool weather can be actually expected.

Vostok Station in the "summer" (eww) looks like Baker Lake, Nunavut's winter (Baker Lake, Nunavut - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), which is EXTREMELY cold. No comfortable months there.
Record high is only -12.2 °C, so warm weather cannot be expected.

Riyadh actually wins easily here. If you put Mecca, I would have trouble deciding.

I don't know why 2 people voted for Vostok, though.

It was Kaul the derp troll.

I choose Riyadh obviously.

The low temp data for Riyadh in that wiki article are completely wrong. Most other sources I've seen had about 25-26C for the average low in summer.

If you look at their dew points, it should be rather easy in deciding. Riyadh's rarely go above 10C in summer since it is quite far inland but Mecca is pretty close to the coast (although it's not coastal) and it goes above 20 quite often.

The first one is d.p. for Riyadh & the second is Mecca's.

Well, I actually meant I would have trouble deciding Vostok vs Mecca!
