Both are great, but I chose Bergen for being wetter.

Bergen. I hate hot weather, but Nuuk is just ridiculously cool in summer - even trees can't grow there,

Bergen. More comfortable all around, and the wetter weather supports a more pleasant, forested ecosystem.

Godthab is not truly awful, though. Thoroughly livable, but it would even make a cold weather lover like me yearn for a beach holiday :-)

Though Godthaab's summers are cooler than ideal for me, I'd choose it for better winters. The winters there are great: long, snowy, but not that cold. Bergen's winters, while not too bad, are too mild and maritime for my liking.
