BBC Weather - Weather for the week ahead
The kind of weather Brits would expect in July and August is happening in mid September! Par May and August, every month this year in the UK has had fairly above average maximum temperatures. Though this weather can be quite typical for September, much of this month has seen slightly above average temps overall, with 7 out of the 9 months in this year so far having similar kind of temperature anomalies, could this be a sign of Climate Change, or is this just a coincidence?
What do you think?.. September 2014 is definitely giving August 2014 a run for it's money, and I'm likening this mild(ish) weather!

Not that unusual to get a spell of above average temperatures in September & it is going to be July/August weather here next week too, highs are forecast to reach 33C

Remember that July 2014 was above average and pretty dry in London and places near it it was a hot and sunny month, definitely (not like July 2013, though)

Arr... Give me some of that 33 degrees... Would rather real heat than a proxy possible of 26! LOL

July 2014 was close to 26 in London as a maximum average... That's Sydney's average for January. Wish it was like that every year!! But 24 as the general maximum average for July isn't that bad...

On the other hand, I'm all up for better September weather! Particularly after the coldest August I've every experienced!

So far it only gives 23c for here, I am hoping the plume comes further north.

Never the less long may the sunny days continue!

Not this far in though.
It usually starts cooling down now and then we get our first single figure maxes by mid-october.

Bear in mind you live at 35N.

Tbh, mid 20s does become more rarer as September goes on. But I've known it to get well into the 20s as late as mid October... In-fact 2011 sore 20 degrees in late October.
In contrast, the last time I remember single figure max's in Portsmouth for October was in 2007. But that was late into October! Though feel free to prove me wrong, as I may be...
