20.0C was recorded on my garden thermometer and that is supported by the official weather stations in Bishopton and Glasgow Airport. I'm out. Anyone else yet to see 20C?

Our high, so far, is 10C and the 10-day forecast doesn't show anything higher than 12C.

The last 4 days have exceeded 21C here in York. Tomorrow is forecast to reach 21C, but cooler after that.

You must be living at an elevation comparable to parts of Yellowstone National Park. I know it is late to get warm there.

Yes, it warms later and it always seems to happen fast when the heat does arrive. I think in July and half of August, it's not unusual for daytime temps here to be warmer than many parts of the UK. Night temps are colder here (avg. during the summer months is 37F / 3C) , but late June through mid August is generally very warm during the day.

Oh Lord, 3°C overnight low average in summer. Even here in Buxton at 1,000ft and 53° north (not that high I know) our average low is 11°C!

A lot of the California coast has average summer lows of 10°C or a bit below:

FORT BRAGG 5 N, CALIFORNIA - Climate Summary

BIG SUR STATE PARK, CALIFORNIA - Climate Summary

HALF MOON BAY, CALIFORNIA - Climate Summary [11°C in its warmest month]

Still, the average winter lows are still warmer than Yellowstone average summer lows.

Not yet. It's getting warmer, though. High for the 10-day forecast is 63F/17C
