I would go with option 1. There is nothing better than waking up to a 21 F morning. Just slip on a sweatshirt and sit next to the window drinking a cup of boiling hot coffee and relax for a couple seconds before starting the stressful day. 70 F and humid makes things much worse in my opinion. Sweaty at sunrise is no fun.
70F.. I can't get out of bed when it is cold. It's a lovely feeling opening the door in the morning to go outside, and feeling the warmth instead of a mountain of cold air hitting you.
Cold mornings are a pain when you have to wake up early and go to work or school. I'm most sensitive to the cold in the morning. On the other hand, both scenarios can be associated with a good ambiance. 21F and sunny on Christmas morning with fresh snow cover. Who would object to that? Or waking up to 70F and muggy but sunny at the beach while on vacation? 70F mornings are only difficult for me to deal with when I don't have AC on. 70F is too warm to sleep in. Otherwise, it's easier to actually wake up to, as the cold makes me not want to get out of bed.
I hate humid mornings and hot nights. They make it very uncomfortable to have good sex.
On the other hand, cold nights and mornings are perfect for a toasty cuddle and other fun stuff .
Additionally, who in the right mind likes to start off their day with pit sweat after a morning shower while leaving for work .
