I know it's unfair that society expects men to always approach women, I agree with you that it should be 50/50 of both sexes approaching each other (not the 98/2 that's reality).
I'm telling quite the opposite. You have so much time left to get a girl. Honestly, I don't even think late teens/early 20s is a good time to have a GF. That's the time in life where you focus on you and finding yourself and become the best you can be.
All I'm saying is expecting women to approach you is an unrealistic expectation, because of society's rules. I'm not saying I agree, but that's how things are. Have you ever tried just striking up a casual conversation with a female classmate or something? It's not that you always have to hit on them or use that angle. You can just have a simple conversation and go from there.
