Nice images!
Long drives are common in my country, as it is a long country. Have many times driven more than 900 km one way. Less traffic off course.
Was for a short hike in the hills tonight. But would like to get up in the real mountains... here are a few images from a mountain hike early July 2013, Trollheimen mts SSW of Trondheim about 1,000 m asl.

Wonder how warm the water is there this year since it's above normal in that region.
Terrible weather today. Overcast, rainy and drizzly at times. What a dull July it has been.

Was it new or second-hand? The father of a friend bought his bike for €2,000. She bought hers €80 and already has issues with the gears. 20k is impressive enough in kilometers, let alone miles!

Another mix of old low-rise brick and skyscrapers. Would have thought it was an older American city. Near La Defense?

I've met people who buy bikes that expensive, usually only worth it if you're trying to competitive racing. 20k miles is over seven years though. People who ride althetically often do more.
My 260 mile trip was from Ithaca to Long Island on a Saturday afternoon. Congested once near NYC, seemed worse than usual, perhaps people travel more on summer weekends? I drove 320 miles from just west of Boston to Ithaca,NY earlier. Six hours with some stops, didn't feel as bad but still long.
Bike is new. Well, was new. Here's a photo of it. I have a different helmet, seat, a different bag. And it looks more beat up and dirty now:

New York state is bigger than I thought. Montauk to Niagara falls is a longer trip than mine to the Mediterranean by road, though similar as the crow flies.

Nice handlebar. Mine cost around €350, new as well. The man who bought his bike €2k sure uses it, seems like he spends most of his weekends on the road, sometimes with other avid cyclists.
Some shots from last week of the random SE Estonian landscape, the road from Tartu to Põlva.
