imma lean Singapore... though the gloomieness and the year round high rainfall is a big turn off.

Same thought. I prefer gloomier climates than "extreme" high and low ones.

Sacramento at least has months of relief (mainly early spring and late autumn).

Well you' better believe it.

If you like humid, stormy weather and warmth year round, which I do, it's the better choice.

As for people commenting on Singpore's "gloomy" climate imagine how much more stifling it would be if it was constant sun? Max temps would get a LOT higher and it would be far more uncomfortable.
