As Always, I am pissed the cold air will FAIL to make it here. I am always mad that its warm and muggy near the coast 4 months a year. This is why the Inland northeast has it so much better. Cold snaps are much more prominent. You have the opportunity to see lows in the 40's by Labor day and a decent snowstorm around thanksgiving day. No hope for that here, as I 95 cities at best see flurries during cold thanksgiving days or warm jacket free weather in the 50's, Really boring and annoying . I would love it if the NYC to Philly section were 10 degrees colder on average every month of the year.
But yes I wish here in London we had colder Winters and warmer-thundery summers but that's different to the East coast US. You should be lucky you have a climate that can get a freak snowstorm and massive thunderstorms unlike boring static Boredon (London)
I only mind it in summer. Atlantic westerly winds bring nothing but 16°C, drizzle and overcast where I live in summer. Always missing out on continental warmth. I'm very happy for the moderation we have in winter though, and wouldn't take anything less than the temperatures we already get.
Never understood why sandals and socks is meant to be such a "fashion crime".... not that I give a crap what someone thinks if I wear sandals with socks.... sandals and barefeet chaff my feet anyway.

London does have nice summers, but loses in the snow department.

I don't care about what people wear (or think about what I wear) either. Wasn't meant as a serious post.
Coastal moderation might be the problem at the end of this week; there was the potential for a hot snap, but I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if crappy westerlies come flooding in and push the plume into the North Sea or somewhere.

We didn't get any snow last winter which was a MASSIVE disappointment even by London standards we get a couple centimetres on one occasion. Oh well better move to Lapland if I want snow..
