I uncovered the A/C. Getting ready. Lol.
Hmm. Didn't think of that a reason. Should have. That's why I was cheering the snow to let.

Backcountry Weather Conditions - Appalachian Mountain Club

Springtime in the Whites. 42" by Zealand Hut. Tuckerman Ravine has even more snow, but it's a bowl where the terrain and wind funnel snow. Late September:

Mt. Washington just reached 32°F, first time in 87 days. Light rain on the summit. Temperatures will rise overnight. Station in the valley (Whitefield — 1073 feet) is only 4°F warmer currently, had reached 53°F today so that was a fast cooldown. Not cooling down much here; 51°F at 11 pm after a high of 63°F

I'm becoming a little more optimistic that we may be out of the perpetual below average temps. This would be perfect for April. I like how stable the temps look. If only stability like this reigned all year long, year in and year out. At least you know what to expect.

ECMWF Ensemble and longer range ECMWF weeklies all show the same above avg temps for the long haul in the eastern US. Our last 32F may already be behind us, or might come on Saturday night. We shall see.
