Temps up to 26,6C, very impressive for northern Italy in January!

I wonder, what's the record high temperature for any station in Italy in January?

I don't know exactly where to look for data about whole Italy...
But around my place the record should be the 29,4 °C recorded in Brossasco (near Cuneo) the 01/17/2007.

According to wikipedia, the most of the record high temperatures recorded in my region (Piedmont) were recorded during the same heatwave. In practice this time the foehn wind was particularly strong.
Ondata di caldo del gennaio 2007 - Wikipedia

the page is in Italian, but I just want to show you the table (1st column = town, 2nd column altitude, 3rd column temperature).

Now let's see if I can find something else about the rest of Italy...

ok, I've found that the 01/02/1962 was recorded a temperature of 30.4°C in Palermo (from the "Osservatorio Astronomico di Palermo" = Palermo's astronomical observatory). But I'm not 100% sure that it is the absolute record for all the country.

29,4C in a place at 44-45N in January, just amazing! It has to be one of the northernmost places in the world to record such a temperature in midwinter! And with a solar angle of only 22°.

Is there any place in the world which can match this?

The January all - time high in Norway is off course much colder. But the temperature of 17.9°C was recorded at 62°N in Tafjord (January 28th) with max sun angle of only ca 7°.

Also Sunndalsøra recorded a 18.3C in December 1998 which is further north than Tafjord, and with a solar angle of only 5°.

Also worth mentioning is Moldes 25,6C, recorded the 11. October 2005 with a solar angle of around 19°, if I'm not mistaking, Molde then would probably be the only place in the world which have recorded temps above 25C with a maximum solar angle of under 20°.

All this caused by foehn winds.

That was recorded during an incredibly strong foehn windstorm in Jan 2007 which brought temperatures to completely crazy levels, just like it happened today in the same areas (up to 26°C in some alpine valleys in Piedmont). Keep in mind that the area is usually quite cold in winter, with daily highs in the range of 0°-5°C and freezing daily lows. 26°C are totally summer-ish, as they would be the norm around mid to late June (or even July, depending on the location).
I believe that very powerful Chinook winds may have produced similar records in Montana and Alberta.
