As of early this morning 19.3" at O'Hare and 19.2" at Midway.
My living room window at 5;45AM
Lake snow squalls going to be going for a few more hours in Northwest Indiana (25-30" totals there?)
Top it off below zero windchills this morning
We got lucky here in Indy. Even Saturday afternoon they were still forecasting 6-10 inches. We ended up with about an inch and then rain in the afternoon. It was still a mess this morning as we got another quick inch of snow overnight and temperatures plummeted to around 13 degrees freezing everything on the roadway. Still, not as bad as you guys got it up there.
Got rid of the snow (which was heavy as hell), now it's just the rain, it has nowhere to go, I'm literally shoveling water. And the streets are flooded. Hopefully it all drains away before the temperature plummets tonight. The roads will be crazy tomorrow if it doesn't.

Yup.. My dilemma was shovel before the ice or after? I'm glad I waited. Snow still soft under the layer of ice. The area I shoveled now has a glaze of ice on the ground. Harder to get rid of. No rain here.
6.1" of snow(melted to 0.85" liq) before the change to sleet/snow mix for 20 minutes at 6:10 then freezing rain for past 2.5hrs
Radar Loop with Metars 2am to 8:30am today. You can see when and how long each location reported the changeover
Snowing steadily here all morning so far...quite cold too, it was -5 when I took the dogs out. Roads not bad so far but up here we've only gotten a couple of inches so far. Southern VT will get a lot more than we will, but still looking at 6-10.

Looking at Vermont temps and it's cold with no worries about mixing with this storm.. -2°F in Burlington wind chill -19F!

Better perspective picture but bad idea to shovel with freezing rain still falling.
21.8" of snow in last 6 days here. NOW THAT is what winter should be like. Keep it coming!
1. The storm is finally shifting to the coast. Going right over NYC!
2. Mid 50s now up to Delaware. 49 in Atlantic City!
3. Near 0° in Vermont, wind chill in Burlington 19 below 0.
4. There's still more precip coming! Moving NE. So looks like another few hours of this maybe after lunch / 2pm for CT?
5. Look at the frigid air behind all this, that will rush in and maybe change the precip back to snow for everyone. HRRR model has been suggesting that since yesterday. not sure.
