Here we go again. #3 in last 7 days. (See Interesting Video Below)

Poor Chicago... Not getting any love from this next storm.

Latest Euro gives northern Mid Atlantic a snowstorm... Arctic air is in place, KEY as Bernie said in his video.

Notice the northern edge of the highest totals cut off at NYC, SWCT, Long Island. A shift another 25 miles and all of CT got a huge snowstorm.

FYI... double these amounts. Will not be 10:1 north of NYC. Maybe 15:1 in Philly.

Look where NAM puts the Low Monday 1am. Will G8RCAT get a little snow event?

This is the last frame on the NAM (long range). The red and blue lines indicate freezing line at 2000' and 4500'. So cold enough in northern Kentucky for snow.

heaviest moisture always around the Low so anything in light green northwards is light snow at this hour

Latest GFS. Monday 7am on left. Monday 10am on right. Anyone north of those red/blue lines is snow. Light greens is flurries light snow.
Darker Greens is Snow
Blues would be HEAVY snow but in the warm sector and out over the Atlantic at these hours.

Precip is for 3hours. Meaning.,. Frame on left showing precip amount from Monday 4-7am. Looks like snowing in Philly for few hours. Cut off line will frustrate snow lovers in CT like this. lol

Euro caved in overnight. What a horrible performance lately by it. WTF.

GFS, UKMET, NAM, CANADIAN, and Now Euro show the storm close enough to give us a snowstorm here. DC gets screwed with rain now. We'll see.

DeJaVu? So 3-5 days out storm was suppressed and missing us. Then the north trend began and here we are facing another 6"+ snowstorm.

Don't forget...Canadian model kept showing it while all others were suppressed.

Latest NAM snowfall total for Mondays storm.

Multiple these by 15 to get an idea what snow totals would be per Euro.

Quick QPF's from Euro00z which would be all snow Sun-Mon.

Nantucket 0.98"
Islip 0.90"
NYC 0.89"
Danbury: 0.74".
Philly 0.68"
Boston 0.12"

Looking better for Chicago. Keep lifting. Another 20 miles should do it

New NAM decides to keep moving it north. That means its closer to here. That means more precip. That means more snow.

Here's the latest Snow total.

Compare this map to the previous update above.

For those not sure how to read this... Match the color to the legend. That's the snow total projected from this model update.

Purples = 7-10" but add 2-4" to that since these maps are 10:1 ratios..
