Once below -90°C, second lowest -55°C, most years never getting colder than -35° to -40°C.

Wow. Once below -90 C? That sure is far deep into my 'lethal' range, even colder than Vostok!

Yes. But with plenty of warning and an evacuation of the whole area. Even better, make it have been in 1985 or something.

Below -40°C so there's a chance of deep cold. The local record low is -43,5°C which is quite nice.

Between 0-10C.

New Surrey has a record low of 2.0C in the city and -0.6C at the airport.

I'd like to see -30C a few times every year, and -40 in rare cases would be fine. So below -40 it is. Though -50 is pushing it, so not much below -40.
