Jesus Christ. You should show this to all the people that thinks the Desert Southwest has "better" summers than us because they're drier. Even though they're average highs are 15-20 F higher than us.

Anybody noticing the smoke today? The sun has an orange tint to it today, due to the smoke coming in from Canada - those fires must be really be something to send smoke all the way down here.

Getting dry though - no decent rain in 10 days. :/ They keep teasing us with 50-60% chance of storms, but I've heard that story before. Such is life in the Desert Southeast...

Here's a look at the Upper level flow and you can see why its making its way down.

A SE flow and the base if at the interior South. That negative tilt of the trough(angled) is key thing to have for block buster winter storms. Today they mean strong storms/Tornadoes.
