I wouldn't be surprised. The Sahara is arguably the most sunniest place on earth. I doubt that it's Yuma.

I wish they record AM and PM (local solar time wise) sunshine hours data. My ideal would be max sun in the morning (sunrise-solar noon) and min sun in the afternoon/evening (solar noon-sunset). Average 40-70% sunshine hours anually and 70-90% of the day's sunshine is before solar noon

I would prefer that as well. Morning and early afternoon sun is nice, but afterwards it gets depressing.
Good conversation between Eric and Brian right now. A meteorologist and a Climatologist talking about clouds. Eric thought November was cloudiest in Boston. Its not.
Brian reminds us Sun percentage is for daytime, cloud percentage is for 24hrs.
Although I love winter I hate early sunsets. Late sunrises don't bother me but early sunsets are a bit depressing for me especially at the start of darker days in October and November. I like our April's daylight hours day starts at 7 till 7 to 8 at afternoon.
How about the deserts of Saudi Arabia Iran and Pakistan?
