Not a cold lover, but most of them do like reliable summer heat. Their favourite climates must have "curves" (pronounced summer and winter).

If being a "cold lover" means enjoying subfreezing temperatures and snowfall in the winter, then that's what I am.

But I definitely wouldn't want to live in a climate without tropical temperatures in the summer, let alone a "cold" year round subpolar climate.

In this case I'd pick Winnipeg but my real favorite climate of the one's I've seen is Hakkari: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hakk%C3%A2ri#Climate

Not all of them do, but I do. Without heat in the summer, it would be kinda boring. Though I'd probably pick a cool/cold year-round climate than a hot one.
