Sounds delicious indeed. Could use some healthy food right now... Greasy Thai takeaway on Thursday, burger and fries on Friday, pizza on Saturday, leftover pizza on Sunday and steak with rösti today. Maybe nei should try that diet to gain weight. I betcha it works well for me.
It puzzles me too. Apparently December is slightly drier than both November and January in both Seattle and Vancouver. Maybe the storm track / polar jet is at its southermost point in that month? Dunno.
I think the storm track in the PNW is at it's strongest in November/December, maybe that aids in driving down cold air? I notice places like Seattle and Vancouver get their strongest cold snaps from about mid/late November until early February.
There is this really annoying guy on another forum who tries to make out places in Spain are the warmest in Europe. He lives in Valencia & despite there being two official AEMET stations covering the city (one at the airport & another in the city itself) he uses an amateur station from Wunderground with just THREE years worth of data to claim these are the actual averages for where he lives & that he has an annual mean of 20C He even boasts about Spain being able to grow coconut palms, well in the Canary Islands sure, but that's like someone from the UK saying they can be grown there & using Bermuda
He goes about changing the Wikipedia entries for places all over Europe (I can tell from his rubbish spelling/grammar) & he changes the figures for Spanish cities to boost the averages
When I called him up on it before he told me that Malta got more snow than southern Spain & said it was warmer too, despite temperatures never going below freezing in Malta, ever... He then claimed Ceuta (a Spanish city on the north coast of Africa) was much warmer than Malta, when the weather station data only goes back to 2003, even then he again inflated the figures to what are shown on the AEMET website... He is such an annoying ****
Is he the guy who is always changing the normals to 2001-2010 periods on wikipedia without sources?
Absolutely LEGENDARY storm happening right now just near Montpellier, France! Lightning flashes every second, loud thunder, heavy rain and wind and warm humid air.. Was gonna walk down to the beach to watch it but that would be a bit stupid... This is the type of storm Galaxyman dreams of in Melbourne!
