So, which city has a better SUMMER:

Baltimore, MD:
Monthly Averages for Baltimore, MD - weather.com

Kansas City, MO:
Monthly Averages for Kansas City, MO (64131) - weather.com

Summer here includes the months of June, July, and August

I would go with Baltimore. Summer nights are cooler, and the mountains are not far off if you want even cooler nights. Drive to Hagerstown, and you might have 50 F lows in summers which are perfect.

Humidity sucks in both places though.

Kansas City, hotter, and sunnier, much better chance of severe weather.

When did Baltimore become cooler than DC, Philly, and NYC in July? I remember it being the warmest.

But based on these averages, I'd choose Kansas City.

Baltimore's averages seem a bit off, aren't their summers hotter than that?

They're both pretty bad, but I'll take KC. More thunderstorms.

I used data from TWC. I am not sure which part of B'more and KC they consider for collecting all their weather data.

Overall, Baltimore for the higher snowfall, and higher rainfall. Summers are too hot in both, and I would prefer Kansas city winters if there was more snow. As for summer alone, they're fairly on par. I'd pick Baltimore for the lower sunshine hours.

Since when was B'more coastal . That's the Chesapeake bay right next to Downtown. You need to travel out to the Delmarva peninsula for Ocean Breeze. B'more summers are fairly still and muggy. Its around 100 miles west of the Atlantic.

To reach the ocean, take 97 south to 50 east which leads to Ocean City, MD. Or even better, take 40 east and head all the way till it ends. Support the NJ economy by paying tolls and gambling in AC .
