Sounds just like the majority of Americans.

Russia is great as it is. Russian territory west of the Urals most certainly belongs to Russia. Ukraine, however, does not belong to them.

Notwithstanding Ukraine's long history of trouble with Russia, my view on the matter of the proposed larceny of Russian lands by western Europeans more or less follows an old Arab proverb:

Quote:
I against my brother, I and my brother against our cousin, my brother and our cousin against the neighbors all of us against the foreigner.

I just got back from the brand new Total Wine store they just opened up over in Brookhaven.

Man, that store is nice. A zillion wines and beers, at great prices too. I spent 50 bucks there...lol. Got three bottles of wine, 2 6-packs of high-octane beer and did a build-your-own 6-pack, with the highest-octane beers I could find. I love the names on some of them, like Heavy Seas Winter Storm, Jailhouse Breakout Stout, Green Flash Green Bullet and Smuttynose...lol. One of the six-packs is a local brew, called Sweetwater Festive Ale - those are gonna be fun with 8.6% alcohol in them.

I have a feeling somebody is gonna get a bit tipsy tonight.

Saudi Arabia is an ****hole of a place, it's shameful that David Cameron has licked their arses consistently and ignores the terrible treatment of their people.

Most Russian people I've met have been OK, but no doubt a lot of them can go die too with their crazy views. North Korea I just feel sorry for their people, ruled by an insane leader

I disagree. It's not our predjudice to force our way of life upon others. The 'Mission to civilise' died out durind decolonisation. Now we should have the attitude as senator Clay Davis had in 'The Wire': "I take every motherf**kers money if he's giving it away".

This doesn't mean that we shouldn't help developing nations in any way possible, of course we should. But we cannot successfully force our way of thinking upon them. They must help themselves in that matter.

Russia I don't have a problem with. My main concerns are with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, most of that region actually (apart from Jordan and Kurdistan). I trust the Chinese govt more than I trust the US govt.

Nice. Sounds like late April here
This month was looking like reaching 300 hours of sunshine until 4 days ago.Just total cloud cover, with no wind at all. Highs have been 15-21C. Very gloomy.

Here's a couple of photos from yesterday, capturing the gloomy buzz.
