And generating revenue. The whole thing is a big business. Pointless fines, tickets, and jailing people for minor crimes brings big money to police stations.

an uncle on my mother's side is a retired Philadelphia police officer.

I have thought in the past that I'd enjoy law enforcement as a career, but I doubt I'm really cut out for the job.

I have a great deal of respect for the majority of cops.

I thought loquats needed warm and sunny conditions to produce fruit? I saw a tree earlier that was full of fruit, even though it's been cool, wet and cloudy for ages.
