Nice to see Cruz is going DOWN in the polls and Trump is now leading in Iowa.

Well look at this.... Don't teams get better by playing each other regardless of skill level?

Far too much ice & snow on the road to go bike riding. Not very safe. Oh well. I can always go for a walk later on.

Helsinki and Espoo are seriously considering to build a light-rail line in the East-West direction. It would replace the bus line 550, which is the busiest in the region. The cost will be around €250 million, as bridges have to be built and streets modified.

Interesting proposition. Hope it comes to fruition.

Hmm. How busy is the 550 bus? Is there estimate on how fast the light rail line will be compared to the existing bus? Boston can't be bothered to give its light rail signal priority.

Saw someone on my FB put up a meme saying "If someone could turn the heat back on in Florida....that'd be great." This same person was bitching endlessly about the heat back during summertime.

We just got done with one of the warmest years on record, probably the warmest December on record and people are complaining about a couple of weeks of weather that isn't even that unusual here in winter?! god, I hate people.

I have no data on that, but it's often so crowded that they can't let in more people. The rail line will be only a bit faster, as the 550 already has right-of-way in many intersections. The light rail line would connect to the metro, all railway lines and all highways, so it's not meant as a cross-city transportation method per se. It would run every 5 to 10 minutes.

Perhaps this person wishes it was 76°F at all times?

so the main benefit of the rail line is that it'd carry more people?
