No contest! I've been to Sacramento in the summer and it's way too hot and very boring. Denver is comfortably warm and has plenty of sun and plenty of clouds.
Sacramento has by far superior weather than Denver. Sacramento has more sun than Denver.
No outrageous extremes like Denver. Sacramento has mild winters with plenty of snow(normal years) less than 1 hour away.
Fall and Spring are perfect in Sacramento. And Sacramento has perfect humidity throughout most of the year, not humid but not bone dry like high altitude Denver.
Denver easily. Sacramento summers are too hot and too dry. Both places I find to be too sunny and too dry but at least Denver has cold and snowy winters. Summers also look nicer in Denver.
Both places are very sunny, which I like. Both have two periods of pleasant weather.
Sacramento: Mar-May, Oct-Nov
Denver: May-June, Sept-Oct
I'll give Sacramento the slight edge for one more pleasant month.

Aren't both places very dry in summer though? Obviously Denver more-so because of the elevation.
Why would you say summers are nicer in Denver? Mostly because of the cooler summer temps?
