Cool air feels nice today after all that heat.

That's what I like about here, we get a few cooler days,
not 4 months solid of heat like southern US.

In winter US complains about "cold Canadian air",
in summer we complain about "hot US gulf air".

Our most uncomfortable summer days usually feature warm humid air straight up from the
Gulf of Mexico.

Tomorrow should be perfect, sunny and 25C

NWS 8-14 day forecast also looks concerning.
The forecast map only has your region within the 30-40% chance of being below normal; in otherwords, there is still a 60-70% chance that the prediction fails. It seems that New Orleans, then east to coastal Alabama, is shaded into the same below normal zone as you are.

Thus, I wouldn't say that rain would be gone for that long.

Heard cicadas for the first time this year today. High summer has officially started.

That's pretty cool all throughout for 11pm. Are those water temps?

Vile weather today. It was so humid and gross out. At least we got another good soaking rain tonight.

Just got hounded by more storms. Lots of lightning with this bunch. I'll check rainfall totals later.
